Governance

​

St. John's Episcopal/Anglican Church is part of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the United States. As such, it is governed by several documents, including:

​

St. John's Church is run by Clergy and elected Lay Leaders from the Congregation.

The Vestry of St. John's Episcopal/Anglican Church includes our Clergy and lay leaders elected by the congregation. Officers include the Senior and Junior Wardens, the Rector(s), the Treasurer, and the Secretary. The vestry is responsible for the business of the church, including financial matters. 

Vestry meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month at 7 pm. Items may be added to the agenda by contacting the Officers or parish office before the Officers meeting.

St. John's Church is supported by our Staff.

Director of Music — Our Choir Director, Mr. David Cole, directs the choir. Working with our Clergy he plans and implements the music the accompanies our services as well as special functions.

Organist — Our Organist, Mr. Cornelius Johnson, plays the organs. Working with our Minister of Music he plays the music at our regular services as well as special services.

 

Parish Administrator — Our Parish Administrator, Reverend Sandra Bramble, supports the the clergy, vestry, and other staff through administrative and pastoral tasks. She is the welcoming voice on the telephone, the keeper of the master schedule, and the coordinator of the use of the church facilities.

 

 

Non-Discrimination Policy

St. John's Episcopal/Anglican Church does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, race, color, national origin, veteran status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, pregnancy, childbirth or related conditions including lactation, age, disability, genetic information, or any other factor prohibited by applicable law; follows the applicable policies and governing principles of the Episcopal Church pertaining to non-discrimination; and requires all tenants and users of its facilities to do likewise while on St. John's Episcopal/Anglican Church property.
